Week 3 NBA Standings Look Beyond Weird

As we enter week 3 of the NBA season the standings might leave someone speechless who hasn't watched the NBA yet this season. Now look, we all know it is just the beginning of the season and this will in no way be the standings come April but you have to appreciate them while they last!


Some of these believed "tanking" teams are currently off to better spots than predicted playoff contenders like the Nets, Knicks, Pistons, Cavaliers, Bulls, Grizzles, and Nuggets. Its a funny sight but we all know that the Philadelphia 76ers wont have a better record than the Bulls come playoff time.

But some of these big name teams really are off to horrible starts. The Brooklyn Nets currently own the 2nd worst record in the NBA going into week 3...yes you did hear me correctly. Thats right...2nd worst in the league. So are you to understand that the freaking Suns have a better record than the Nets? Yes, yes you are.

3 WESTERN CONFERENCE FACTS GOING INTO WEEK 3

 - The Spurs are the only top 8 team in the West to average under 100 points a game (95.7 average)

- The Suns have as many wins on the road as Nuggets have wins (Nuggets 1-4)

- The Utah Jazz are already 4 games back of the 8th spot (worst team in the NBA...I think yes!)

What about the Bulls, Knicks, Grizzles, Nuggets, and Pistons? Each big name team is struggling early to prove that they are as good as they have been labeled, but that may change soon. Do I excpect the Bulls to be in the 11th spot come playoff time? No. But do I enjoy looking at the 76ers having 2 more wins than the "Rose led" (jokes, Rose is off to a terrible return year) Bulls? Yes, yes I do.

Enjoy these odd standings for the moment...because they wont be the same in the very near future. The season is still young and most of these records and places will not remain
