Tonight, WWE will present their annual event, Tables
Ladders and Chairs. What is considered a ‘B’ show to most of the internet
wrestling community, is potentially reshaping the landscape of the
entire championship lineup. Going from a very lackluster Survivor Series, it
appears the company has launched a Hail Mary in effort to get the wrestling
faithful excited for what is to come.
The Road to Wrestlemania shifts into overdrive, as we will
see WWE Champion Randy Orton face off against the World Heavyweight Champion
John Cena. The end result will have one-man leave as
Unified WWE Champion. The
problem with this is the virtual no build that lead up to this match. A quick
appearance between the two at the end of Survivor Series, and then BOOM, a
rivalry is born. Last week on Raw may be the most development in the feud, but
did the WWE show their hand too soon? A brawl broke out between a cavalcade of
stars, Cena, Orton, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Triple H and Shawn Michaels. That
brawl ended with The Authority and John Cena standing tall, looking down on
Randy Orton. Will the Authority have their hand in the outcome of the match?

take place?| Cena vs. Orton - Who pulls the straps down? Photo from WWE.com |
Regardless of the final outcome, the events of TLC are looking to strap you in for what is to come over the next few months. What
happens tonight directly affects Royal Rumble and, ultimately, Wrestlemania.
TLC Predictions:
Title Unification
Match – Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match
John Cena (World Heavyweight Champion) vs. Randy Orton (WWE
Champion)
Orton has come off as a massive whiner through this feud, so
expect there to be some sort of swerve that allows him to whine about the
outcome. The Authority will have some sort of interference in this match.
Winner: John Cena
Tag Team Championship
– Fatal Four Way
Cody Rhodes & Goldust (C) vs. Ryback & Axel vs. Real
American vs. Big Show & Rey Mysterio
This match could go just about any direction, with the Real
Americans and Ryback/Axel looking very strong as of late. Show/Mysterio were
added for lack of placement on the card. In the end, kudos to the WWE for
pushing the tag team division in 2013.
Winner: Cody Rhodes
& Goldust retain
Intercontinental Championship
Big E Langston (C)
vs. Damien Sandow
In a glance, this could be one of the most underrated
matches of the night, but it poses a view of the WWE’s future. Sandow has
looked to change his fortunes after his failed Money in the Bank cash in, and
here is his chance. Langston is no slouch though and possesses the size and
build that Vinny Mac tends to cherish in his superstars.
Winner: Big E
Langston retains
WWE Divas
Championship
AJ Lee (C) vs Natalya
Lee has made it a point to completely torture the Divas
division, with her main targets set on the cast of “Total Divas”. While she had
looked strong as champion for a while, she seems to be on the verge of losing
her title. Expect to see her drop it tonight against one of the most respected
Divas in the locker room.
Winner: Natalya
3 vs. 1 Handicap Match
CM Punk vs. The
Shield
Daniel Bryan vs. The
Wyatt Family
It’s hard to think that these to matches won’t end up
colliding somehow, given that Punk and Bryan were in the same corner last pay
per view. The Wyatts have desperately been trying to recruit Bryan into their
faction. The Shield came out of nowhere
to attack Punk and all of a sudden there was a match. Consider this the
precursor to the end of The Shield. They have teased dissention within the
group as of late, and in the middle of a 3 on 1 handicap match is the perfect
place to implode. Given what the program has shown with these superstars, the
WWE Universe will be the real winner tonight.
Winners: CM Punk and
Daniel Bryan
Pre Show Kickoff
Match
Dolph Ziggler vs. Fandango
Ziggler continues his plummet down the WWE chart and has
been subjected to this. While it does get him on the card, it does absolute
nothing for him.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler
On paper, TLC looks to be eventful, and exciting. Given
their string of awful pay per views, they owe it to the fans to give them their
moneys worth.
