During week 1 of the NFL Season Cam
Newton sported these custom made Superman cleats by Under Armour. Cam
as we all know has his Superman celebration when he scores a
touchdown but apparently he wanted to take it from the endzone to his
footwear. As great as these look Cam's offense looked less like
Superman and more like Clark Kent scoring only 7 points on Sunday
versus a depleted Seattle Seahawks defense. All in all though these
are by far the sickest cleats in the league this season but lets not
just wear them for style. If your going to wear superman on your
cleats then you can't play like a regular quarterback, C'mon Cam!!

Darrelle Revis vs Richard Sherman: Who's Better?
Recently, on Twitter, the two of the league's best Cornerbacks had a memorable twitter beef. It went like this:
A seemingly harmless question from @rpchudgar during a Q&A that @RSherman_25 was doing for his fans, sparked this argument from the two cornerbacks.
Point: Darrelle Revis
In the 2012-13 NFL Playoff game, the Seahawks vs the Falcons, Roddy White got 5 reecptions for 76 yards, including a 47-yard TD reception, with (drum roll please) Sherman covering him. That is what Revis is referring to.
Point: Richard Sherman
During the time Revis tweeted those 4 tweets, Sherman was on a flight. After getting off of it, he responded:
Point: Richard Sherman
To top it off...
As you can see, Richard Sherman clearly won this argument, with Darrelle Revis' dismissiveness and Sherman's finish. Remind me not to get into an argument with Richard Sherman... ever.
But, is he going to win the debate between him between the best Cornerback in the NFL?
Darrelle Revis or Richard Sherman? Who is the better shutdown corner? This is a newly introduced topic from the 2012-13 NFL season that has sparked numerous debates. Who do I think is better? I will be giving a breakdown and comparison of each player to finally figure out who is better. Is it Revis? Sherman? Here it goes.
Let's start off with the 4-year veteran in Darrelle Revis, famous for the Revis Island term.
Since his astounding 2009 season where he picked off 6 passes along with 31 passes defended and 47 total tackles which made his player value a staggering 22, he has been considered the best Cornerback in the NFL and for good reason too. His stats have gone down but that's only because team's are afraid to throw his way. With his targets going down, Revis has become very opportunistic when the pigskin is thrown his way, including a 100-yard Interception for a TD, tying the NFL record.

Revis is so good that he contained the 08' Randy Moss to 2 receptions for 22 yards.
Unfortunately, Darrelle Revis suffered an ACL tear to his left knee in the 2012 season and we don't know if he'll ever be the same. However, it is Darrelle Revis so you got to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Now onto Richard Sherman. The 6'3 Sherman came into this league in 2011, drafted by the Seahawks with the 54th pick of the 5th round, with something to prove. He destroyed all expectations in his first season and his 2012 campaign was only better.
In 2012, Sherman picked off 8 passes, including one for the score, 24 passes defended, 3 Forced Fumbles, 1 Sack and 53 total tackles making his season player value at 18, just a tick below Revis'.
Finally, comparing these two stars. Darrelle Revis and Richard Sherman's best seasons to date were somewhat similar and almost as equally dominant. In 2009, teams just completed 36.9% of their passes thrown to whoever Revis was covering and a 32.3 passer rating. Revis' 2009 could be the best season of all-time for a corner. Sherman's 2012 season saw him holding teams to a completion percentage of 41.7% and a 41.1 passer rating. Richard Sherman did have more picks than Darrelle Revis, 8-6 in the cornerbacks best season's. The whole thing about Revis not getting thrown to as much may be true but compared to Sherman, team's throw the ball to them almost the same. In Sherman's 2012 season, he was only targeted 2 more times compared to Revis' 2011 campaign and had double the picks, 8-4. Richard Sherman may have better ball skills than Darrelle Revis but the thing going for Revis is that he doesn't go for the INT as much as Sherman and looks to swot down the ball much more, unlike him. Every season, other than his rookie and sophomore years, Revis has had a slightly less better season than Richard Sherman's 2012, with the unfathomable 2009 season being the only one better. Sherman was a better rookie and sophomore than Revis and is on a fast track to become the best corner in the NFL.

Footlocker Faux pas
Just when you thought these replacement NFL Refs couldn’t get any worse last night happens. If you have been living under a rock then let me explain to you what happened. Last night the Green Bay Packer’s took on the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night football, The game was a defensive struggle for the most part with both teams combining for 9 sacks and 245 Penalty yards. With 8 seconds on the clock and the game in the balance the most bizarre finish in NFL History was upon us. Russel Wilson was forced to throw up a prayer for the win and a blatant offensive pass interference by Tate was missed The ball was caught in traffic it appeared originally that M.D Jennings had came up with the ball and the game would be over then the UNTHINKABLE happened!!!!! Constant wrestling for the football made this call hard Jennings and Tate both appeared to have the football. The two refrees made two separate calls one said the game was over and the other said it was a TD by Tate. The initial ruling was a Touchdown for the Seahaawks and the Qwest Field faithful was in a frenzy because they’re team had just took the lead 13-12. The Packer sideline was furious and a booth review was needed. After several tedious minutes of reviewing the original call some how THEY MISSED IT!! These former Foot Locker employees had missed the call and probably dropped Footlocker’ stock about 7 points in the process. It’s kinda sad that you can look at a call in the booth after you missed it ands miss it again. These replacement refs have made a mockery of the NFL and former employer. I think it’s time that we send these replacement ref’s back to stocking the shelfs and selling shoe product at your local mall because clearly the replacement officials have sub par eye sight.
In all seriousness though the real refs that are actually are on strike need to come back (But you knew that already) if there was ever a wake up call to expedite negotiations that was one. It was hands down the worst call I’ve ever seen in sports in my young life. Although I was rooting for the Seahawks last night seeing them win in that fashion was disheartening as a football fan and really hurt the NFL’s image. It was like watching a fortune 500 company’s stock fall from grace in an instant. Greg Jennings sarcastically voiced his opinion saying “These refs did a great job” repeatedly. It’s 6:12 and ESPN is still buzzing over the controversy. Hopefully Footlocker wasn’t taking any applications these last few weeks so the ref’s can get there jobs back. Football season hasn’t started yet because that Debacle of officiating just waterd down the game and has been for the last few weeks. Give the fans the sport back. Choose not too and watch the product sink!

"Seattle Redenbachr":Get your popcorn ready Seattle
Seattle get your popcorn ready, T.O is taking his talents to Century Link Field. Monday after a tryout with the Seattle Seahawks they agreed on a 1 year deal. Its been awhile since America “got they’re popcorn ready”. Terrell Owens hasn’t been in the league for 2 seasons but with number one receiver Sidney Rice sidlined by injury the Seahwaks are looking for answers at the wide receiver position and have reached at out to the ever flamboyant Owens for help. There is no questioning his talent or physical condition as a football player but his off the field quotations and actions have always rubbed people the wrong way. With 15,394 yards and 153 Touchdowns Terrell Owens stands as one of the greatest receivers too ever play this game. Many people believe he is primed for a big season in Seattle. He will play 8 Sundays on the same gridiron where he famously pulled out a sharpie after scoring a touchdown with the San Francisco 49ers on monday night football and put is autograph on the football and gave to a fan in the crowd. If T.O can keep his mouth shut and stay out the headlines for the wrong reason he has a chance to change public perception of him. All I know is I got my popcorn ready and im ready to see “Seattle Redenbacher”
