Last year as the first pick of the 2nd round in the 2012 NBA Draft Jeffery Taylor Struggled last season to find any consistency as he averaged 6.1 points, 1.9 rebounds shooting at a 43% clip from the field and 34% from the 3-point line. At times he looked like a grizzled vet and other times he looked like a rookie trying to find his way in the league.
You could see he didn't have
the confidence
to shoot the ball last season but that clearly changed based off of
his summer league performance. Taylor looked like a new player as he
finished 3rd
in he Las Vegas summer league in scoring averaging 20.3 points per
game. He was dunking on people, making plays from the perimeter and
just looked like the guy the Bobcats drafted out of Vanderbilt.
This
season the team and fans alike are looking to him as an x-factor off
the bench to provide hard nosed defense and more consistent play this
season. At media day late last month I got a chance to talk to him
about summer league, the teams new acquisitions and the return of the
Charlotte Hornets.
