“First pick out of high school since Moses Malone” we are talking about the great Kevin Garnett today on throwback Thursday. Back in the early 2000 KG was featured in this old AND 1 Sneaker commercial with one of hip-hops best lyricists in Styles P.
In
this commercial Garnett is displayed dribbling a basketball while
being drenched in rain. While all this is going on Styles P is
talking the South Carolina native up with quotable s such as “C'mon
dawg that's Kevin Garnett, bout to get an And 1 all in ya mug”.
The
Commercial then ends with a ferocious one-handed dunk in the
rain,surrounded by a bunch of cameras and then a showing of intensity
by Garnett with his trademark yell. Styles P called him “the ideal
player of the 21st century”. Well since this century has
begun Kevin Garnett has been one of the best players on the court as
he lead the Boston Celtics to a championship victory over Kobe Bryant
and the Lakers in 2008. Garnett also won the 2003-2004 MVP while
leading the Minnesota Timberwolves to the western conference finals
where they would eventually lose to Shaq and the Lakers.

brings his championship experience along with a long list of
accolades this season to a new team this season in the Brooklyn Nets.
The Nets posses one of the best starting five's in basketball with
guys such as Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, Paul Pierce,Brook Lopez and
of course Kevin Garnett. How far will they go? Only time will tell
but Garnett has already cemented himself as one of the greatest
players of his era win,lose or draw.
