Manny Pacquiao Is Still One Of The Best Pound For Pound Boxers In The World

Looking at some of the different boxing pound for pound rankings. Most has Manny Pacquiao 6th or 7th some has him out of the top 10. Which i find ridiculous. Most of the reasons why is because he's lost his last 2 fights against Tim Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez. Most people say he's too old, he's washed up. I disagree with all of that.

Let's start with the Bradley fight. We know who really won that fight.  Manny Pacquiao won that fight easily. It's not even close. I watched that fight and i would say Manny won at least 10 rounds. He lost the fight because of one of the two reasons or both. Incompetent judging or corruption in the sport.

As for the Marquez fight. Manny got knocked out, he lost fair and square. But Manny was winning that fight before the KO. I had him winning 4 rounds to 2. That was the best Manny Pacquiao i've seen since he fought Antonio Margarito three years ago. Unfortunately, he got careless the last 6 seconds of round 6 and Marquez hit him square in the jaw. One of the most vicious boxing knockout we've seen in years. Bernard Hopkins says that a knockout like that usually takes 6 or 7 fights before a boxer can recover.

Manny Pacquiao's next fight will be next month and its not a tune up fight. He will fight a very good, young, dangerous fighter in Brandon Rios.

Rios has a record of 31 wins, 1 loss, 23 wins by KO and 1 draw. He's a brawler, his style is a lot like Margarito. He's relentless. He's going to come after you and will not back down. That's his style. So this is not going to be an easy fight for Pacquiao. But i think Manny will find a way to pull this one out.

Prediction: Pacquiao by KO in 6 rounds. And once again will prove that he's still one of the best p4p boxer in the world.

If Manny wins that fight. Then i would think the Mayweather/Pacquiao mega fight is still possible, right Floyd? people still want to see that fight. It's the fight that everyone really wants to see. The two best boxers of this generation. Who wouldn't want to see that?
