Floyd Mayweather vs Canelo Alvarez Recap and Opinions
The One was supposed to be a huge fight in which Floyd Mayweather was challenged and that he was at risk of losing his first fight of his lengthy and prosperous career.
Did the fight live up to these expectations? No, it didn't, but that doesn't mean that this was not a good fight.
In the fight we got to see Floyd take on and opponent who was thirteen years younger and fifteen pounds heavier than him and dominate him for ten of twelve rounds.
Floyd Mayweather once again showed his advanced defensive skills which is what makes him one of the greatest fighters of all time. And yes, he advanced to an outstanding 45-0.
Despite this amazing performance people still like to stay that the sport of boxing is dead. Maybe Floyd might not be the knock out specialist who likes to stand and exchange but I think that if people were able to appreciate his skill and speed most people would not say that the sport is dead.
In conclusion, even though Floyd Mayweather vs Canelo Alvarez was not the slugfest people hoped for, it was still a brilliant display of skill, speed, reflexes, and defence.
