Carlos Beltran has 357 career homeruns. His career batting average is a .284. Why am I talking about Carlos Beltran’s possible Hall of Fame induction you ask? Because he is one of the best switch hitting players of all time. When healthy Carlos can put up a consistent 25 homers, 90 rbis and .290 batting average. Carlos is also one of the best postseason hitters of all time. With a career .363 batting average in 34 career post season games, this a strong case for Beltran’s Hall of Fame induction. He is slugging .782 in the post season! That’s an unrealistic number yet Carlos has managed to put the numbers up.
If your team makes the playoffs and Carlos is on your roster expect great things to happen. He has 11 stolen bases and has not been caught in the playoffs. He has an intelligence for the game and knows when to make a move. Also backing up his case is 11 postseason homeruns. He has hit over .400 in 2 playoffs
( 2004 & 2012). In conclusion in my opinion I think Carlos Beltran is……. a first ballot Hall of Famer! His post season stats are too hard to ignore and he has put up excellent numbers. He is a clutch player and I expect him to continue to play with the same consistency until he retires. Now as he signed a 3 year 45 million dollar deal with the Yankees expect at least 2 maybe 3 post season appearances only to make his hall of fame case stronger!
