Last Sunday, the two NFC North playoff contenders of 2012 faced off, and it certainly didn't seem like one of the two were a playoff team last year. Just like expected, The Packers handled The Vikings with ease, 44-31.
Tonight is a similar case. only this time, its the AFC South.
The Houston Texans are one of the seasons biggest upsets. In what looked to be another deep playoff run for H-town, its been just the opposite. Matt Schaub has been a complete failure and has a new found reputation for throwing pick 6's, and TJ Yates has been no better. This quarterback blunder has not only lead the team to a 2-5 record, but to college stud and undrafted Houston Cougar Case Keenum to take the starting job under center. In what is even more of a night mare is that star running back Arian Foster is questionable for tonights game with an injured hamstring.
But the Colts are starting to have injuries take their toll as well with franchise Wide Receiver Reggie Wayne out for the season with a torn ACL. That being said, first year quarter back Andrew Luck is showing no signs of a sophomore slump so far this season. And on the defensive side of the ball, Defensive End Robert Mathis has showed no signs of slowing down with 11.5 sacks already at the midway point of the season. And with the Colts already taking down the likes of the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks, it seams like a no brainer that the Colts should win tonights game against their division rivals.
My Pick: Colts 34, Texans 20. MVP: Andrew Luck.
