Dee-1 Names 7 Of His Favorite NBA Players, Releases New Single “Zero To A Kilo”

Hip Hop & Sports Connect - Dee-1:

New Orleans, Louisiana-based emcee Dee-1 is a respected Hip Hop artist, positive role model and an NBA fan. The "Zero To A Kilo"-crafter has collaborated with Hip Hop artists like Mannie Fresh, Murs, Lecrae and Derek Minor, among others. The OMAR (One Man Army Rebel) representative has taken his message of empowerment to several mainstream platforms like CNN, Billboard Magazine, MTV, XXL, and The Source. David Augustine Jr. a/k/a Dee-1 has definitely made an impact on the national Hip Hop scene.

He is known for his ability to convey political, spiritual and inspiring ideas in a palatable way for urban culture. The LSU-alumnus is currently working on his Psalms Of David II mixtape, which will hit the web sometime in the near future.Dee-1 is not a rookie basketball fan, he played b-ball in high school and has shot some hoops with Master P. Lebron James: 
The NBA’s current MVP and leader of the defending champion Miami Heat.
          Kevin Durant:
Durant is a super star scoring machine for the Oklahoma City Thunder. He is averaging 26.6 ppg on his career.
          Stephen Curry:
The Charlotte, North Carolina-born point guard is a star for the Golden State Warriors. He averaged 22.9 the 2012-2013 regular season. 
Derrick Rose:
This star point guard won the NBA MVP at the age of 22. No one has achieved that milestone at a younger age. He plays for the championship contending Chicago Bulls. He is arguably one of the top 5 players in the league.
Garrett Temple:

Temple is the shooting guard for the Washington Wizards. He went to the same university (LSU) as Dee-1. Garret is an inspiration to his city.
          Tyrus Thomas:
Tyrus Thomas is an exciting forward who is signed to the Charlotte Bobcats. He was a part of the respected 2005-2006 LSU squad that also included Glen “Big Baby” Davis.

Brandon Bass:

Bass is a power forward for the legendary Boston Celtics. This Louisiana-based baller has been in the NBA since the 2005-2006 season.
When Dee-1 is not watching NBA games, he is usually recording new records or performing songs live.
