NFL Week 4 Review

Week 4 of the 2013 NFL season was a mix of blowouts, close games, and all in all great football. Lets take a look back at the scores from the games in Week 4 and then from there we will get into awarding weekly awards.

Week 4 Game scores and thoughts
49ers beat the Rams 35-11 (TNF)- 49ers make easy work of Rams on Thursday Night Football

Bills beat Ravens 23-20- Bills hold off Ravens despite not scoring in the 4th, both teams now 2-2

Cardinals beat the Buccaneers 13-10- Bucs move to 0-4, Freeman's time in Tampa looks to be over

Chiefs beat the Giants 31-7- Chiefs extend brilliant start, 4-0, Giants...now 0-4! The Giants are in trouble if this bad play continues

Colts beat the Jaguars 37-3- Jacksonville the next 0-16 team? Its starting to look like it! Colts destroy the Jags and show no remorse

Browns beat the Bengals 17-6- SURPRISE! Browns now 2-0 since Trent Richardson trade, Brian Hoyer wins in second start and throws zero interceptions

Redskins beat Raiders 24-14- Skins get 1st win of the season, Raiders still more wins than the Giants! Matt Flynn doesn't play to well in his debut as the Raiders starter in wake of Terelle Pryor's concussion

Broncos beat Eagles 52-20- Peyton takes over, offensive explosion on Chip Kelly on the Eagles

Lions beat Bears 40-32- Reggie Bush keeps proving he is a great fit in Detroit, Lions hand the Bears their first loss

Seahawks beat Texans 23-20 in OT- Texans blow 14 point lead, lose in overtime to Russel Wilson and the Seahawks

Vikings beat Steelers 34-27- Vikings gain 1st win, Steelers still defeated...0-4 in Pittsburgh. Matt Cassel wins in first start at Quarterback for the Vikings

Titans beat Jets 38-13- Titans dominate the offensively unsound Jets

Chargers beat Cowboys 30-21- Chargers score 17 unanswered on Dallas, take over the 2nd half 17-0

Patriots beat Falcons 30-23- Close game, great play by both sides, came down to the wire. Bad news for the Patriots though, Vince Wilfork tore his Achilles in the game and will be out the remainder of the season

Saints beat Dolphins 38-17 (MNF)- Saints dominate Dolphins and become 4-0, Brees and Jimmy Graham both have magnificent games

MNF= Monday Night Football
TNF= Thursday Night Football

 Week 4 Awards

MVP- Drew Brees (30-39, 413 yards, 4 TD) and Tony Gonzalez (12 rec., 144 yards, 2 TD)

Sleeper- Kenbrell Thompkins (6 rec., 127 yards, TD), about 35% Fantasy owned before Week 4

Surprise win- Cleveland Browns beat Cinncinati Bengals 17-6

Worst Loss- Giants 31-7 loss to the Chiefs and Eagles 50-22 loss to the Broncos

Team that needs to rebound in most Week 5- New York Giants, now 0-4...time is starting to run out

Best Game- Patriots vs. Falcons and for people who like OT games Seahawks vs. Texans

Worst Performance- Eli Manning (18/27, 217 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT) and Maurice Jones-Drew (13 carries for 23 yards- 100% Fantasy owned)

-Best Photos of Week 4

                         -A group of pissed off Houston Texans fans burned a Matt Schaub jersey after a 23-20           overtime loss to the Seattle Seahawks. The Texans ended up blowing a 14 point lead!

                          - J.J. Watt suffered a pretty gruesome bloody nose on the sidelines in Week 4
